While we have been operating for a few days in “recovery mode”, today we’re sending the all-clear! Krafties is fully operational and stronger than ever! Annnnnd, we’re doing a little something special to make the downtime up to players. Read on, if you dare!
All Players With Accounts Created Before April 30th Are Eligible To Claim New Items For A Limited Time!
A strange, otherworldly flower has appeared… What could this mean?? Well, it means that Krafties is hard at work finding a way to make up our downtime to players, of course!
Interested in claiming your items? If you have a Krafties account created before April 30th 2026, you can:
- Visit Krafties Island on any date before June 1st
- Head into the main Sanctuary building
- Using the “Main Menu” in the center of the structure, click “Daily Energy”
- Load the app
- Enjoy your new goodies!
But wait… what are they?
I’m so glad you asked! On May 15th, these Glitch Flower items will be able to be used to craft the never-before-seen Data Soul! Inspired by our recent data woes, it seems the data gods have reversed course and are now smiling upon us.
Note From The Dev: Database re-population took a looong time, and while it was going on there wasn’t much else I could do, so… I started designing a new soul type!
These claimed Glitch Flowers will be the ONLY source of Data Souls, until that event that Data type creatures are leveled up and are able to cast Daily Harvest to obtain them, allowing the furtherance of their type in perpetuity. All players who claim now will be the progenitors of this strange new element. In effect, participating players will be able to control the Data economy!
Now, players may notice that they are getting different amounts of flowers from their friends. Let’s talk about how that number is determined. It’s a little bit complicated, but bear with me please. It’s all intended to do our very best to make things up to those players we feel may have been MOST affected by our downtime, while making sure there aren’t any players who feel left out of the fun! Unfortunately, we aren’t able to predict exactly who would have been active during the downtime, but a method has been devised to approximate.
First, as a baseline ALL players with accounts created before Aptil 30th are able to claim 20 Glitch Flowers, which is exactly enough to craft 1 Data Soul.
In addition to that, players who were active in the month of April (the month before our servers went down for a spell) are able to claim additional flowers up to a grand total of 485 Glitch Flowers. Flowers are being rewarded in greater numbers for activity closer to the date of our database downtime. Here’s the breakdown:
- Activity on April 30th = 30 Glitch Flowers
- Activity on April 29th = 29 Glitch Flowers
- Activity on April 28th = 28 Glitch Flowers
- …
- Activity on April 12th = 12 Glitch Flowers
- …
- etc!
Pretty neat!
One Last Small Dev Note: Players may notice that NPC shops look a little bit different. REALLY diligent players may have noted that a small one-off statement in our status updates mentioned an upcoming update to our NPC shops that was interrupted due to the downtime. I want to make a small note here for players to let you know that the visual upgrade is only a *partial* update to the shops, and isn’t the entirety of what’s in the pipeline. We had to push that code live to enable Glitch Flowers, but there’s a lot of stuff in the backend that is being delayed for after the Data Soul excursion we’re embarking on. Look forward to even more shopping fun in the coming weeks!
