Bounty Credit Shopping Board

The Bounty Credit Shop is officially open on Krafties Island! Due to a slight delay, Krafties has decided to add even more goodies for players to choose from. Star Tickets, Coupons, and Lifeblood Crystals had already been promised, and now Scrolls and Artifacts have been thrown into the mix as well! (Including a BRAND NEW type of Artifact!)

The Bounty Credit Shopping boards can be found on Krafties Island in the main Sanctuary, right next to the terminals used to claim Bounty Credits.

While it seems that adventurers are most excited to grow their piles of Star Tickets in preparation for the grand Celestial Drawing (where you could earn one of 8 LEGENDARY Celestial Vein items), these new additions to the Bounty Credit Shop are sure to make you think twice before pulling the trigger on your next big bounty credit purchase. Choose wisely, dear adventurer!

Transfer-Locked Items Patch

Two important gameplay changes have hit the scene!

  • Transfer-Locked items can now be used in Alchemy directly from the Inventory App!
  • Transfer-Locked items can now be used in special Crafting recipes!

Currently, this includes the following recipes:

  • Craft transfer-locked Scrolls into Manuscripts
  • Craft transfer-locked Manuscripts into Codexes
  • Craft transfer-locked Worms into Fancy Worms
  • All versions of transfer-locked Coupons can be used in crafts

Important: If ANY material in a craft is transfer-locked, the resulting item is also locked!

Applicable Dev Note: The ability to craft using transfer-locked items has been on hold for a while, so let’s take a quick moment to explain why that was, along with how those reasons impact the way this change has been implemented (and how a change in development philosophy un-blocked this feature). So, why the delay? Mainly, as with many other areas of potential development that have been put on hold, this isn’t the “prettiest” way that something along these lines could be done…

The original project spec for making transfer-locked items craftable included a *very* smart dynamic algorithm that would automatically detect the amount of transferrable vs non-transfer items of each type a player has, reference both stacks in a player’s inventory as materials that could be used in a craft, and allow players to freely mix and match transferrable and non-transferrable materials as they needed. In that implementation, from a player’s perspective this would mean that if they have a SINGLE transfer-locked material along with a bunch of other transferrable materials, the recipe would dynamically adjust and allow them to use the transfer-locked material mixed in with the transferrable materials. This would *still* result in a locked item, but it would mean that locked materials wouldn’t be stuck “hanging around” in inventories if players wanted to use them up. However, that particular version would have taken at least 10x the amount of work to implement into our existing codebase, in return for something that is effectively a small quality of life feature.

As it stands, this change *already* required a pretty large restructuring of how some things work behind the scenes. For example, players may now notice that their apps update in real time when items are removed via crafting! However, the workload to get something that is “just about perfect” was able to be snuck in over the course of a few days, as opposed to… a lot more time. And, to be honest, this implementation is TOTALLY workable both from a development perspective as well as a player perspective: simple “hardcoded” transfer-locked recipes. What does that mean practically for you, Krafties enjoyer? Essentially, you can craft 10 transfer-locked Scrolls into 1 transfer-locked Manuscript. Easy peasy. While the “perfect” implementation would have allowed you to take 5 transfer-locked Scrolls and 5 transferrable Scrolls and craft them into 1 transfer-locked Manuscript, when really thinking about it, just being able to craft ANYTHING with these items is a colossal win!

Welcome to the era of making things happen! In this era, we’re fully embracing the fact that the absolute *worst* version of many project specs Krafties has compiled over the years still have the potential to transform gameplay in very important ways.

Hope you enjoy the changes!

New Artifact: Triumphant Horn

An ancient horn that appears to have seen many battles! A pet equipped with this artifact earns victory points at an increased rate.

Currently, this new artifact can only be found in the Bounty Credit Shop! After the ongoing bounty event, while these Artifacts may still be encountered, they may not be quite so straightforward to obtain…

Springtime Spawns and Home Temple Rolling Restarts

We’re happy to announce the return of some beloved creatures that took a break during the colder season. Collect all the species and coats you might be missing while the weather permits! Who knows what the future holds…

Additionally, Eggsies have returned, and special Circle, Sine, and Line coated Eggsies have been spotted spawning from temples! Join in on the Eggsie hunt to complete your collection before they return back to the Krafties Kingdom.

Have fun!
