LEGENDARY ITEMS: Celestial Veins!
When used, a Celestial Vein increases the corresponding level of a pet by +1, REGARDLESS OF THE AMOUNT OF EXPERIENCE REQUIRED! While it can be used on ANY level of creature, tapping into a single Celestial Vein with a creature approaching max level has the potential to generate the most experience EVER awarded in a single action! Quite a powerful boon indeed…
Birthed through decisions made during a coalition of the gods, a single Celestial Vein has been bestowed upon our world for each cosmic pillar at present: Attack, Strength, Defense, Hitpoints, Crafting, Intellect, Focus, and Fortitude.
Importantly, all Celestial Veins are transferrable and can be resold on the secondary market if the winners so desire!
Now, how might YOU, dear adventurer, procure your own Celestial Vein?
Star Tickets
Each Star Ticket gives one entry in the Celestial Drawing Event happening May 3rd, where eight legendary Celestial Veins will be awarded! Over the course of the Bounty Event, adventurers may choose to spend their collected credits on tickets, or forgo their chance at a legend in favor of other items to aid them on their journey.
Amazing! But… what’s this about a Bounty Event?
Bounty Event System
When logging in, players will notice that the messages above their in-game HUDs have changed, holding two additional lines of text: species to target for bounty credits, and species to avoid. These targets are unique to each player, and will change periodically.
While adventuring and battling wilds, players will earn credits for defeating or capturing the correct type of species, but lose credits if they accidentally defeat a species they are meant to avoid. For instance, a player might see the following message:
BOUNTY: Defeat Rexie +2, Capture Rexie +5
AVOID defeating Aviaa creatures!
In this example, a player will earn two Bounty Credits for defeating a Rexie, earn five Bounty Credits for capturing a Rexie, but LOSE 1 Bounty Credit for defeating an Aviaa. As you can see, this allows players who would like to actively participate in the event to accrue credits quickly, and allows players who aren’t as interested to continue battling wild creatures indiscriminately while still collecting credits, albeit more slowly.
Much like in our holiday “Cheer Credit” event, an active pet may only hold so many credits before a player must visit a terminal on Krafties Island to redeem them. The amount of unredeemed credits a pet is able to hold grows as its overall level increases!
Once redeemed, players have a choice in how they would like to spend their hard earned points. The items available are:
- Star Tickets
- Lifeblood Crystals
- All types of Crafting Coupons
Note: Bounty Credits will become spendable on March 30th, giving Krafties time to observe how players are interacting with the new system and understand the rate at which players are earning credits.
All Bounty Credit and Star Ticket items are no-transfer, and will disappear once the event ends. Numbers will be tweaked during the lifetime of the event as Krafties determines what the most optimal bounty time periods are, as well as the balance of number of credits awarded/reduced for each action.
A lot of care has gone into the design of this new system in an effort to create something that all at once adds more “intention” to the core loop of Krafties battling, while creating new opportunities and encouraging players to work together. To that end, here are some fun strategies you might want to try!
- Have a high level pet clear out all wilds EXCEPT the bounty species for a partner player, who runs around capturing as fast as possible.
- Multiple players work together, coordinating which species are on their bounty/avoid lists to maximize the benefits for everyone.
- Strategically thinning out herds of wilds to leave a limited set of species, then waiting for a valuable bounty to appear so they can be collected.
