Hey there, and welcome to the wonderful world of Jelly Jams! My name is Professor Jelly (well it’s actually Kris, Krafties developer and fun guy), and I’m here to tell you all about a neat project that I’ve wanted to tackle for a while now – Jelly Jams! Join me on this adventure, won’t you?
Before we begin I want to be very, very clear: right now Jelly Jams is ONLY an idea along with this fun little toy you can get at the Second Life Winter Expo, with all proceeds going to the American Cancer Society. It’s a cute little slime that you can step on to squish, and… that’s it! But, this toy is a proof of concept for a much larger potential project that I think might interest the Second Life breedable community, along with our wonderful Krafties adventurers!
IMPORTANT: IF YOU BUY THIS TOY NOW, YOU WILL HAVE A LIMITED EDITION JELLY JAM IF/WHEN THE FULL GAME LAUNCHES! This “toy” will come alive and evolve into a limited edition Jelly Jam! However, this will only happen if there is enough interest in this initial sale to warrant a presale of founder packs. If there is enough interest, we will begin presales of founder packs that will fund development of the game and give players a head start when the game launches. If there is not enough interest, both in this initial sale tied to charity AND in our presale of founder packs, then this project will be shelved and the toy will remain a toy. Show your interest by buying this toy, and then helping to fund development by buying a founder pack if/when they go on sale!
Q: What is Jelly Jams?
Imagine a world where you can collect cute little slimes, breed them, and farm resources from “juicing” them – all integrated into an established and vibrant MMORPG world with a robust economy and a thriving community of players. That’s the world of Jelly Jams!
Q: What is the goal of Jelly Jams?
The goal of Jelly Jams is to create a fun and simple breeding game that is easy to understand and play, while also being integrated into the Krafties ecosystem. This means that Jelly Jams will have a secondary market that is not just based on the rarity of the creatures you collect and breed, but hold an entirely separate value based on resources that the creatures produce. This lends a bit of stability to both the Jelly Jams and Krafties economies.
Q: Why should Krafties players care about Jelly Jams?
There are a number of reasons, but here are the big ones: more activities, more content, and most importantly more friends. On that last note, I know that many of you love the core gameplay of Krafties, and I love that you love it. I also know there are a lot of people that don’t participate in Krafties because they have no interest in battle pets, but we have so much more to offer than just that! New games and brands like Jelly Jams integrated into Krafties means that we can reach a wider audience of people that might not be interested in the core Krafties experience, but might fall in love with a game like Jelly Jams.
Q: Why should breeders be interested in Jelly Jams?
Krafties has been creating fun and magic for a long time now, and we want to do that for more and more people! At the heart of Krafties is someone obsessed with building, tinkering, and creating exciting things for people to enjoy in Second Life. Jelly Jams is a natural expansion of that, and I have no doubt that breeders could find a lot to love about something like Jelly Jams. I believe that Krafties has been successful, at least in part, because of a spirit of adventure that goes into developing new features and content, and I want to bring that same spirit to Jelly Jams and the breedable community. Krafties has sat adjacent to the breedable community for a long time now. It’s time to bring the two together!
Q: The description says that this toy will come alive and evolve into a limited edition Jelly Jam. What does that mean?
This means that if you buy this toy now, we will “transform” your toy into a limited edition Jelly Jam if/when the game launches! This toy would then be the first of many Jelly Jams, and will be a limited edition breedable that will only be available to those who participated during the Second Life Winter Expo.

Adding On To The Expo Event Fun!
Yesterday a MASSIVE expo-long event kicked off, giving all players DOUBLE craft and battle experience for the entire duration of the expo. Now, we’re going absolutely MENTAL and ramping up your pets brainpower as well! All Intellect, Focus, and Fortitude experience earned throughout the event is now doubled!
On top of that, we’re trying to get a few more fun things out to you guys during this event. The team is running behind with all of our expo prep, but stay tuned and you might see some pretty neat things coming up!
