NPC Battles

Fighting against wilds and Shadow Creatures falls under this category

Battling wild Krafties not only helps strengthen your active creature, but is also a simple and fun way to get new food and material items to help your creature recover health or craft new items. It's also the first step to capturing a new creature!
While most creatures in the Krafties kingdom are peaceful and docile, some are more aggressive than others. If you don't think your current active Kraftie can handle a nearby wild creature your best bet is to get out of there, just in case it decides to attack unprovoked! On the other hand, if your confident in your Kraftie partner's ability you can initiate an attack by clicking the target, and selecting "Attack".
Your active Kraftie and the wild will begin a battle, and you'll be given another choice. You can either battle this opponent alone, or a friend with another Kraftie can join in! When team battling an npc, any of the the attackers may capture the wild creature. If the creature is killed, the lead attacker (player who attacked first) will be awarded the loot from the defeated creature.
If you wish to capture creatures you'll first need to get a net. After attaching the net, you simply need to approach the Kraftie you're currently battling and swing the net (by clicking the left mouse button). While some Krafties may give in to captivity easily, don't assume they'll all be so quick to join you in your adventure. There have been creatures known to resist capture until their very last breath while others may jump into your net themselves! In these cases you'll need to suitably weaken your target before trying to capture it.

Player versus Player (PvP)

To fight against other players, you will need to use a Battle Temple.

Combat and Mental Stats Explained

Your active creature's combat levels affect, as you may have guessed, how your creature will fare in battle (either NPC or PVP). Powerup items and and a creature's natural skills all play into how hits and damage are calculated in battle, so it's best to play to your active creature's strengths when choosing which stats to train.

Before entering battle you can use your active creature's main menu to choose a "Battle Style", which is the stat that your gained experience will go to. You can choose to train Attack, Strength, Defense, or all of these at once (All Round). On top of the experience type you choose, a small amount of gained experienced automatically goes towards increasing your Hitpoints level.

The levels play into combat in the following ways:

Attack (Accuracy)

Your creature's attack stat determines how often it will land a blow on the enemy, as well as contributing slightly to the creature's maximum hit. A higher attack means less misses.
  • Attack is trained by using the All Round or Accurate battle style when fighting.

Strength (Damage)

Your creature's strength stat determines the probability that any hit will do maximum damage, as well as increasing the maximum damage your creature can deal out in any one turn. A higher strength means harder hits.
  • Strength is trained by using the All Round or Aggressive battle style when fighting.

Defense

Your creature's defense stat determines the probability and weight of your creature minimizing the damage dealt by an opponent. A higher defense means less health lost in any given turn.
  • Defense is trained by using the All Round or Defensive battle style when fighting.

Hitpoints (Health)

Your creature's hitpoints stat determines the maximum health your creature can hold. A higher hitpoint level means a more maximum health.
  • Hitpoints is trained whilst using any battle style when fighting.

Crafting (Healing)

Crafting is a very special skill in the Krafties world. Outside of battle it allows you craft items that can aid your creatures in many ways, while during battle it allows you to craft healing energy used to revitalize you or your teammates.
As you increase your crafting level, you can heal more and more health in any given turn. However, healing has a high energy cost and can only be used every other turn in pvp battle. A higher crafting level means more health gained from a single heal.
  • Crafting is trained whilst crafting and healing (this means exp for the one who casts the heal)

Focus (Mental accuracy)

Focus is accuracy and some effect power

Intellect (Mental strength)

Intellect is pure effect power

Fortitude (Mental defense)

Fortitude blocks against focus and intellect

Elements in Battles

Krafties Battle Cycle

Each Kraftie element has it's special strengths, weaknesses and abilities. Some are even specialized in boosting their teammates or cursing their enemies.

It is up to you weather you wish to harness the powers of the Universal Mind or tap into the Strength and raw physical power of the Ages. Choose wisely for the fight has only now TRULY begun.

When one Kraftie goes to deal damage to another, it's not only the combat stats of the two that come into play. Certain types of Kraftie have their own elemental strengths and weaknesses. It's important to note the elemental type of Kraftie you're facing off against, as it may have a chance of dealing critical damage to your creature. If this is the case, you're creature also has a chance of dealing minimized damage during the battle. This plays an important role in team battle strategy.

Elemental Weaknesses

If you have a fire type creature, be wary of water. Likewise if you have a water type creature you should not face off against an earth type opponent. Wind creatures deal critical damage to earth types. Fire deals critical damage to wind type creatures. The illustration below shows the elemental weaknesses:
