Special traits are mutations in your Kraftie's genes that gives them special attributes that give your pet an advantage or disadvantage.

These mutations are the results of radiation and some Unbonded Krafties may have special traits when captured. But that's not the only way to affect which traits your creature possesses. A handler can force mutations in its active creature by using a clever combination of Radioactive Candies and Radiation Shrooms, causing it to gain or lose traits.

These attributes are specific to your Kraftie that can play many different roles and have many different effects. Some help your creature progress, and some hinder it. Others... well they do something entirely different.

Keep in mind that all these traits are a work in progress so there are some anomalies. For instance is is possible to get the same trait twice by chance filling two of the available four slots for specials, but only one of the slots will have an effect on your pet. It is also possible to get two similar traits like Forge Fires and Forge Fires x2 getting the combined effect of both traits as well as getting opposing traits that cancel each other out like Musclebound and Enervation.
