Getting Started

1. Join Krafties by any of the various methods:
   • Click another persons Kraftie to receive an invite
   • Ask your friend to manually invite you
   • Visit any of the Elemental Temples on the Krafties sim, click and join.
   • Click the statue from inside the main Krafties store
   • Obtain a Necessity Pack from the back of the Krafties store

1. Prior to getting started with Krafties, you MUST have media enabled in your viewer and in "Preferences" or the Start-Up Application will not work properly.
2. Rez your "Necessity Pack" in an area where you have rez rights
3. Open the Necessity Pack and copy to your inventory. Right click the folder and "Add to your current outfit".
4. The HUD will automatically display on your screen and you will be guided through the Start-Up application. This is where your Krafties adventure officially begins!!!
   • PLEASE NOTE- IF THE START-UP APPLICATION DOESN'T AUTOMATICALLY OPEN FOR YOU WHEN YOU INITIALLY WEAR THE KRAFTIES NECESSITY PACK, PLEASE RE-WEAR YOUR HUD.
   • In this application you will see your first Kraftie bond with its elemental soul. After its bonded, you will also be able to name it.
   • You will also receive your Free Starter Pack. Please do not decline this, as we only give our players one Free Starter pack when they join. Once you complete the start up process, you officially become a Krafties Handler!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING KRAFTIES THAT ARE "GIFTED TO YOU" OR PURCHASED PRIOR TO YOU WATCHING THE START-UP VIDEO. If someone passes you a Kraftie as a gift PRIOR to you watching the start-up video, or you purchase one from a market, that Kraftie will count as your "Free Starter Kraftie" and register you in our database. The Kraftie you see in the start-up video will NOT be a valid Kraftie and will not show in your HUD. If you want your Free Starter Kraftie, please do NOT accept any gifted (transferred) Kraftie or buy one prior to watching the start-up video.

The Krafties Starter Pack

During the start up process, you will be sent a KRAFTIES STARTER PACK 4.0. Rez and open this object- it contains the following

• Krafties Home Temple Distribution Validator v4.03. The Home Temple will spawn the wild creatures that your Kraftie can battle for experience, and that you can capture with the Krafties Standard net
  1. Rez this object, grant debit permissions ( it will NOT take your Linden. The reason you have to grant debit perms is because this object can be used as a vendor for future home temple purchases,
  2. click the Validator again and you will see a pop up menu that will show that you have 1 FREE Home Temple available to rez.
  3. Click to rez and make sure you allow sufficient time for the Home Temple to FULLY load before taking it back into your inventory
• Krafties Crafting Temple Distribution Validator v4.0 The Crafting temple is used to craft various Krafties items.
  1. Rez this object, grant debit permissions ( it will NOT take your Linden. The reason you have to grant debit perms is because this object can be used as a vendor for future Crafting Temple purchases),
  2. click the Validator again and you will see a pop up menu that will show that you have 1 FREE Crafting Temple available to rez.

Getting Started

BASIC INFORMATION REGARDING YOUR KRAFTIES HUD HOW TO WEAR YOUR HUD Krafties HUD To wear your HUD- unpack your "Krafties - Necessity Pack v4.031 (Necessity Pack v4.032 is optional and can only be received from the back of the store) Right click the folder and "add to your current outfit" This will attach your Creature Attachment v4.031, Tool:Right Hand v4.01, and Krafties HUD v4.031 The "Creature Attachment" is the object that will morph into your active Krafties creature The "Tool:Right Hand" is that object that will morph into either your Standard Net or Pick Axe The HUD will attach to the top left corner of your monitor. You can add the hud to any location on your monitor. Just detach and click "Attach to hud" , then choose desired location to attach HUD USING YOUR KRAFTIES HUD This will take a little practice. The HUD is interactive and the more practice you have at opening the various apps and features, the better you will get. It will become second nature. Lets get started! Information regarding the application icons: The actual HUD can be moved anywhere on your screen. If you click the "Krafties" logo on your HUD- you will see a pop up menu that gives you the option to resize. You can make the HUD bigger or smaller depending on your preferences. The individual Icons under the KRAFTIES logo act as the icons do for your cell phone apps. You can click them and drag them to any desired location on your monitor. (some players have found that dragging each app icon up to cover the Krafties logo saves space on your viewer) Once you open an application- the window has the following features- Bar across the top of the window (color depends on the app you have open)- You can click on this bar and drag the HUD to any location on your screen Grey icon (top right) - Minimizes the window Red icon (top right) - Closes the window Grey icon (bottom right) - Clicking and dragging this icon will resize your window. Your entire screen will appear faded. This happens during the resizing process. It will disappear when you let go of the icon. Now you can try to open actual application windows. Click the desired app to open- you will see a white window pop up in the middle of your viewer. Follow the instructions to open and activate the window. The window will appear shaded. Double click the window and it will come into focus (activate). If you are having trouble activating the window- click the sky or the ground, then click the window again. After you bring the window in "focus", you can navigate as desired. THE LAYOUT OF THE ICONS Home App KRAFTIES HOME App (house icon) This app contains your Bonded Creature, Unbonded Creature, Soul and Player Profile menus. When you click each icon, the menu will expand and you will see your bondeds, unbondeds, souls and player stats. INVENTORY App (brown briefcase icon) Inventory App This app contains your Energy amounts and ALL of your Krafties loot and items. Your energy is listed at the top of the menu Energy: Total (trans + no trans) Click the arrows to scroll up and down through your inventory. Running your cursor over an individual icon will highlight it "yellow". Clicking on each item will give you a pop up giving the information for that item. Some of the pop-ups will have an icon where you can "activate" that particular item, or "show info". "Activated" items such as nets- axes- amulets will turn from a yellow background to green, indicating the item is active. There is a green bar on the left side of the Inventory app. Click this to filter items in your inventory. Your Krafties loot is found in this application Your Standard Net and Pick Axes are found in and activated through this application. Locate either your net or axe, click on the tile for that item, then click "activate". You will see your item appear inworld, attached to your right hand. To deactivate or remove the item from your hand, simply re click the icon in your application, and click "deactivate" If you "detach" the net or your axe from your avatar inworld, you will need to re-wear the Tool:Right Hand, as detaching your item detaches that tool. Amulets and Potions are found and activated through this application. Locate the Amulet you want to wear, click the tile for that amulet. You will then get a white pop up, with an icon to "activate". Click that icon and you will see [05:04] Krafties HUD v4.031: Powering up amulet... appear in local chat. Your amulet is now worn and being used. If you click "show info", you will see the stats for that amulet in another white pop up. Potions work the same way. Locate the potion you want to use, click the tile for that potion. You will then get a white pop up with an icon to "consume" or "show info". Click "show info" and you will see the stats for that potion in another white pop up. Click "consume" and you will activate the potion and see[05:14] Krafties HUD v4.0: ACTIVATING ATTACK POTION appear in local chat. Click "consume" each time you want to activate a new use. With each click of "consume", you will see your uses go down. Once you have used up that potion, it will remove from your inventory. Alchemy and Enchanting tablets are also located in your inventory. You initiate Alchemy and Enchanting by clicking on the tablet in your menu. (see main directory for information on Alchemy and Enchanting) CREATURE App (grey face icon) Creature App The main window shows your creatures statistics. Along the sides, you will see "STATS", "SPELLS" AND "UNLOCKING". Double click any of those tabs and a sub-menu will expand. Have fun navigating the plethora of information available in this app :) Krafties Guild app Guild App This is where you can invite, create, or receive invites to Krafties Guilds. On this page you can see all members of the guild, guild activities, and achievements. With every achievement comes rewards, such as guild mystery gifts, extra energy from the daily chest when go to claim extra exp earned during crafts and extra exp earned for heals. all achievements are separated by three tabs daily, weekly and monthly. Once the month is over the achievements reset allowing more achievements to be earned :) Krafties Voting app Voting App This is where you can view and rate all the ideas put forward for new Krafties pets. They get a high enough rating you might just see it released out into the wonderful world of Krafties.
