-'''Welcome to Krafties!'''
-== Getting Your First Creature ==
-If you have not yet started your Krafties journey, you have a few simple options to begin the game.
-The first option is visiting the Krafties main sim, where you can visit one of the 4 Elemental temples and claim your first Kraftie. Click on the temple, accept the starter pet that is sent to you and rez it on the rez area. When you rez your pet on the ground in the rez area please DO NOT OPEN your pet and copy the scripts. You  will then be sent a Krafties Starter Pack, which contains your temples, HUD, and extras. Please do NOT decline your starter package as you are only issued one [FREE] one when you start the game. Detailed instructions on how to get started with your first Kraftie are located in the main store in the Notecard Giver next to the stone Rexie.
-You  can also visit the Krafties main store on the Krafties sim and click the Stone Rexie statue in the doorway to claim your first pet.If you choose the Rexie to get started- you will be given a random element to start with, as opposed to selecting a specific element at one of the temples.
-Alternatively, a player who has already joined Krafties may use their active creature or HUD to invite you to the game. A random creature sharing the elemental type of the the inviter's active creature will find it's way to you, and rezzing this creature in world solidifies the beginning of your Krafties adventure. Once you rez that Kraftie inworld for the first time, you are automatically sent a Krafties Starter Pack. Please make sure you accept it and don't decline, as you  will only be issued one [FREE] starter pack. In return for bringing you into the game, the inviter gets rewarded energy. There is a 75E reward awarded to the inviter when the member they invited reaches level 4 overall. Gold membership holders receive 150 E for the invite!
-If you prefer a higher level Kraftie to begin the game with, you can search the markets for a Kraftie that has been bonded already, or search for a soul and an unbonded and bond them yourself. IF you choose to begin the game with one of these Krafties, you will not be able to claim a free "Starter Kraftie" from the main sim or from an invite- as when you wear that bought Kraftie as your first pet- it registers you in the database as having a "first" active creature. Once you rez or wear that Kraftie inworld for the first time, you are automatically sent a Krafties Starter Pack. Please make sure you accept it and don't decline, as you  will only be issued one [FREE] starter pack.
-Finally- If you have a friend that is an active player in the game, they may "gift" you a Kraftie to use as your first. Once they do so, and you rezz/wear the Kraftie for the first time, you are automatically sent a Krafties Starter Pack. Please make sure you accept it and do NOT decline, as you will only be issued one [FREE] starter pack.  The Kraftie that you receive be registered in the database as your "first Kraftie", and you will no longer be able to claim a free one from the Krafties Sim.
-All of the options above will get you started in this awesome MMORPG. If you are still unsure how to get started, please speak to a Krafties CSR inworld and they will give you all the information you need.

-== Setting Your Active Creature ==
-After you rez your creature in world for the first time, click it and you will see a menu. From the menu click "settings" then "set name". You will name your Kraftie in local chat. There are other settings in the pet's menu which you can explore at a later date. Once the Kraftie is named, take it back into your inventory, and then "wear" it. It will now become your active creature. Your active creature is used for battling, crafting, and making you look awesome as you travel all over Second Life! The longer you have a creature set to active the higher it's affinity towards you will be, making it deplete energy more slowly when the two of you are apart from each other.
-A VERY VERY VERY IMPORTANT NOTE - BE SURE TO SAVE YOUR PETS UNIQUE ID IN CASE YOUR PET EVER GOES MISSING INWORLD. This is found by clicking your pet, then from the menu click "stats". Your pets stats will appear in local chat and they contain your pets Unique ID. Without this number we will not be able to locate your pet should something go wrong (ie. missing from inventory, losing it inworld, the pet breaking).

-== Setting Up Your Home Area ==
-Along with your first creature, you will be sent a "Krafties Starter Pack". That contains your HUD, Home Temple Distribution Validator, Crafting and Battle temples, and Krafties extras.
-To unpack your Starter Pack-
-Go to an area you have perms to rez (near any of the Elemental temples if you are on the Krafties Sim, rez the Starter Pack, open it and copy items to your inventory. You can then delete the empty box.
-From the folder in your inventory, rez the "Home Temple Distribution Validator". The box will rez red and say "NOT ACTIVE". You must grant debit perms. (This item should be kept for future use, as its used to purchase additional Home temples if you desire).
-After you grant debit perms, click the box again and you will see a pop up that will show that you have 1 Free Home temple to rez. Click to rez and you will see your Home temple appear above the Validator. Take it back into inventory and then you can re rez it at home for use. Home Temples are the gateways from the Krafties world to ours. They allow Krafties to traverse energy channels and manifest as physical lifeforms in Second Life, albeit weakened without the human bond that active Krafties share with their handlers.
-These "Wild" Krafties will allow you to train and strengthen your active creature, as well as provide you with materials you can then use for crafting or to heal your creatures after battle. With the right tools they can also be captured and bonded with, thus joining you on your adventure.
-Your Crafting temple can be rezzed and is used for crafting items.
-Your Battle temple can be rezzed and is used for PVP battles
-Your Krafties HUD is worn- and is used to store items for crafting, as well as invite new members, check your player stats and access the Wiki.

-== Acquiring New Creatures ==
-You are by no means limited to only one Kraftie, though you may only have one ''active'' Kraftie at a time. If you have a net, you can capture wild creatures which you can then bond with elemental souls or resell to other players. Likewise, you can purchase/obtain new creatures from other players who have done the work for you (bonded or unbonded).
-The elemental souls that are bonded with the creatures are created using your crafting temple. Up to 9 other handlers may link their active creatures to your crafting temple. The more linked creatures, and the higher their levels are, the better the quality of the soul/item that is produced. Just like with creatures, you can simply purchase souls from other players who have crafted them if you wish to skip this step.
-== Quality of Souls ==
-The quality of an individual soul is determined by the levels that result when it is bonded with a creature. The higher the levels the more valuable the soul is, though crafting higher level souls can prove to be a difficult task.
-:;See [[Souls]] and [[Soul Requirements]] for more information
-== Quality of Creatures ==
-Creature quality is determined by a multitude of factors. Even if two creatures of the same species have been bonded with the same elemental soul types, they will be inherently different in their stats and traits. Each species has it's own strengths and weaknesses, and every single individual member of that species will show these strengths and weaknesses to varying degrees. These strengths and weaknesses are reflected in a creature's "Natural Skills", which you can view in it's stats. On top of this, there are trait variations that some collectors may prize more highly than others.

-== What now? ==
-There are many things to start doing although the best way to get started is by battling low level wild creatures to gain your basic starting levels and loot.  As you continue to train your Kraftie you will gain new abilities, skills and power.  Be sure to collect as much loot and items that drop from defeated wilds as they will become a great help on your adventure when it comes to crafting new materials and items.
-You can start assisting anyone crafting by linking to their temple.  There are a wide range of groups that players open to call for assisters to help them craft.  There is no level requirement to assist other people crafting.  This is a great way to get started with earning free energy and good experience in your Crafting skill.  To lead a craft, you must be level 3.
-A great group for getting started is the Krafties Official - Craft & Battles group. (secondlife:///app/group/13b72a0c-8bd8-ccd6-ce7d-d5b38dec542d/about)
