The Standard Net
The Standard Capture Net is a needed item for any Kraftie Adventurer who wants to capture Wilds. Available for purchase at the main sim or marketplace, the capture net is a one-time purchase that has unlimited uses.
Price is 187L while in Beta
You can catch any wild creatures that spawn from yours or friends home temples.
You will need:
- Standard Krafties Capture Net https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Krafties-Official-Standard-Net/4527061
- A creature to battle with
Once you are ready to catch a wild creature, start by wearing your net and creature then begin attacking the wild creature you wish to catch.
You can begin to swing your net by left clicking anywhere, but not clicking the wild.
Once the wild creature health is low enough, swing your net.
Depending on how tough a creature is to catch you will be given success or failed attempt messages.
Capturing Wilds
- How to equip the Standard Capture Net
- First, after purchasing from the vendor at the main sim, locate it in your SL inventory.
- Next, ‘Wear’ it.
You cannot use the net to capture bonded Krafties that belong to other players
Players are able to capture wild creatures after weakening them in battle:
- Fight a wild creature until its health orb is weakened.
- Move up closer with the net attached and left click to swing the net.
- If the creature is weakened enough, it'll disappear and you'll receive a message saying it has been captured.
- A dialog box will appear showing the creature you captured. Click "Accept" to take it into your inventory.
Once you captured a wild creature, you can rez them on the ground to check their natural abilities or to combine with a soul to create a bonded creature.
Notes
- You can catch any wilds from any home/giant temples
- Your best chance of capture is when a wild creature is low on health
- Nets cannot be crafted
- Nets last forever, with unlimited catches
- You cannot capture Giant Wilds or Bonded Pets with a net.
- The size of your Krafties pet can be increased or decreased by the use of Growth/Shrink Shrooms.
Tips
- You can stop your Krafties Pet from attacking the wild (useful when you have gotten their health low enough, and another hit is sure to defeat it)
- Touch the Wild creature you are battling
- Select "Stop Attack"
